Not only because of the wasted time, but all the spent effort for nothing. REALLY? A "new" free app with a demo mode that won't let you save? This must be the stupidest thing I've encountered in a looooooong time! So, after wasting almost 10 hours of my time trying to install this stupid program in a horrible laptop PC with Windoze 10, I finally see that the "free" Cakewalk will NOT let me save because it's in "demo mode". Using any hardware or software that is incompatible with Windows 10 can result in unstable performance even with a compatible DAW, like SONAR Platinum.Yes, this will be a rant because I'm really pissed off. If you are considering upgrading to Windows 10, first ensure that your DAW, plug-ins and hardware drivers are all compatible with this OS. Installing anything that is not compatible with Windows 10 is done at your own risk. For example, check Roland's compatibility article and only use their hardware and software on Windows 10 if it has been approved. Please keep in mind that third-party plug-ins, audio interface drivers and control surfaces may not have been updated for Windows 10. For the best experience, Cakewalk strongly suggests using older products with the version of Windows on which they are officially supported. Their development occurred before Microsoft's development and release of Windows 10 and therefore could not have been tested for compatibility. Previous versions of these products-such as SONAR X3 and Music Creator 6 Touch-have not been tested with Windows 10 and their performance cannot be guaranteed on this operating system. The current versions of SONAR 2015, Music Creator 7, Rapture Pro and Z3TA+ 2 are compatible with Windows 10. Cakewalk Windows 10 Compatibility Last updated on
